Welcome to “Angie’s,” where we “Serve America’s Foodies!

Our mission is to bring back American Classic Cuisine to all America’s Foodies! We believe in remembering what made America great and honoring the history of America through our food. In essence, we are redefining American Classic Cuisine to North American indigenous meats, which were staple meats prepared and relied upon by our ancestors.

Our signature entrees such as the Bison Burger, Rattlesnake and Rabbit Jalapeno Sausage, Alaskan Reindeer, Wild Sweet Boar, and Elk Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage are indigenous dishes to particular parts of North America. We proudly serve them to all America’s Foodies.

For example, Buffalo once ranged from the eastern seaboard to Oregon and California; from Great Slave Lake in Northern Alberta to Northern Mexico. The interdependence between the Indian and buffalo is exemplified in the beautiful words of John Fire Lame Deer:

“The buffalo gave us everything we needed. Without it we were nothing. Our tipis were made of his skin. His hide was our bed, our blanket, our winter coat. It was our drum, throbbing through the night, alive, holy. Out of his skin we made our water bags. His flesh strengthened us, became flesh. Not the smallest part of it was wasted. His stomach, a red-hot stone dropped into it, became our soup kettle. His horns were  our spoons, the bones our knives, our women’s awls and needles. Out of his sinews we made our bowstrings and thread. His ribs were fashioned into sleds for our children, his hoofs became rattles. His mighty skull, with the pipe leaning against it, was our sacred altar.”

In the 1870’s, more buffalo were killed than in any other decade in history. The three years of 1872, 1873, and 1874 were the worst. According to one buffalo hunter, who based his calculations on first-hand accounts and shipping records, over 4.5 million buffalo were slaughtered in that three year period alone.

Like the buffalo, Elk and Alaska Reindeer are migratory animals that continue to sustain Native Alaskans and other families through subsistence living. The elk probably migrated to North America along the Aleutian land bridge that existed between Siberia and Alaska until about 2,000 years ago. Scientists believe that this is the only logical explanation why an old world animal such as the elk could be found roaming through the new world when the pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock, Massachusetts.

So, we pay tribute to not only our ancestors and the wild game that once roamed the great North America, but we also honor both the men and women who have served and currently serve this great nation today. As a former Merchant Mariner we pay special tribute to all of the men and women in uniform who are currently serving or who have served America in one capacity or another. To do so, we incorporated signature entrees, which are indigenous meats used and prepared by our forefathers in various regions of North America, to honor proud American men and women who serve their country today.

To further honor this great nation we have also incorporated a “proud to be American” and “proud to serve America” themes in both our logo as well as business philosophy. Our business philosophy is simple: When we proudly serve you we also serve God! Our slogan: “We proudly serve America’s Foodies!”

So, we humbly salute brave American men and women from our past and present, like you, while bringing a “slice of Americana” to your food experience.
